Play Your Way to an Engaged Staff
Friday, April 8, 2016, 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM
Colorado Convention Center, Room 601/603/605/607
Did you know that play is as essential to brain development as sleep? Or that only doing “instrumental” things all day can lead to an anxiety disorder? You need to goof off to be more productive. Learn how to more fully engage staff at work by providing meaningful connections, a sense of community, and lots of opportunity for play. We promise to surprise and delight!
An online version of this concurrent program session was presented during the PLA 2016 Virtual Conference.
At the end of this session, participants will:
1: Be able to transform your staff into a highly engaged team with unexpected and practical steps.
2: Be ready to create a holistic staff development package that connects the strategic plan to meaningful work and employee self-care, with minimal budget impact.
3: Be inspired to incorporate play and creative goofing off into your staff development programs.
The session organizer(s) identified this session as appropriate for:
Level 2: People with some knowledge, who want to increase their understanding.
