Developing Truly Effective Performance Evaluations
Thursday, April 7, 2016, 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM
Colorado Convention Center, Room 708/710/712
The Toledo-Lucas County (Ohio) Public Library has developed a hybrid performance evaluation process that provides pathways for effectively resolving issues, motivates staff to stretch with managerial support, and is still flexible enough to work for all employees. It can expand and contract where needed and includes space for employee input and shared performance goals. The process has become a great career development and customer service training tool, and we are eager to share what we’ve learned.
At the end of this session, participants will:
1: Be inspired by new ideas for performance reviews. 2: Hear about an innovative, collaborative process to develop useful evaluation tools and methods. 3: Have concrete examples of effective ways of evaluating traditional and non-traditional work.
The session organizer(s) identified this session as appropriate for:
Level 2: People with some knowledge, who want to increase their understanding.
This session will have: Low interaction: single speaker/panel with Q&A at the end of the program
